Kovari Legends is a full scale RPG Adventure, with a massive game world, polished UI, complex battle system, and plenty of unique game mechanics.

Engineering Accomplishments
Kovari Legends is a game I had wanted to make for over 20 years.
It was inspired by the golden age of RPGs on the SNES and Playstation.
The first project was to plan as much as possible.
I spent 3 months planning the entire game before writing a single line of code.
This included outlining 3 novels, a massive world, hundreds of characters and dialog, and over 400 years of history.
Next I designed the core game mechanics, such as player leveling and stats, power and magic scaling, an inventory system, tool and puzzle mechanics, dungeon mechanics, weapon and gear scaling, gold and treasure pacing, enemy power scaling, and more.
This literally was dozens of spreadsheets and thousands of cells.
Finally I downloaded Unity, took a crash course, and started creating the game.
I then downloaded Blender, took a crash course, and started designing the graphics.
After learning Python, I used Blender's ability to run Python to streamline the process of creating the massive gameworld, using pseudo-random "AI" to save hundreds of hours of manual design.
Then I learned AHK (AutoHotkey) so I could run the Python while away from the computer :)
I then created the entire UI/UX from scratch, making it as user friendly, smooth, and polished as possible.
Next was character design, rigging, and animation, which was done in Blender and Unity.
Then I downloaded Reaper, took a crash course, and created all of the sound effects (except one) from scratch.
Lastly, I composed a few dozen musical pieces for the soundtrack.
There was also a ton of work in between, problem solving, writing complex algorithms, creating Enemy AI, optimizing code, polishing the UI, and more.

Description
Kovari Legends is a classic JRPG, with plenty of action elements, and NON-random battles of turn-based combat. There is a massive beautiful low-poly isometric game world to explore; with plenty of treasures, NPC’s, enemies, puzzles, and other secrets! The party has customizable gear and magic, as well as class specific abilities to learn. There are plenty of consumables to find, buy, AND create, tools to equip, books to collect, and maps to explore (and stamp!) Enemies appear in the game world, and when battle begins, they will use their strength, magic, and advanced AI to attempt to terminate your party! The story is an epic adventure based on THREE novels that has everything from kings to mages, love to betrayal, heroic feats to mass murder. And lastly, the music. Is it even an RPG without a thoughtful, beautiful, and epic soundtrack?
